6/14/2024 – This is my favorite event of the year because it is a small conference, in a BEAUTIFUL location, with lots of interesting people and many hands-on workshops.

Wild Herb Weekend is the annual conference of the NC Herb Association, held at the beautiful high mountain Valle Crucis Conference Center in  Valle Crucis, NC in late July.

There is something for everyone at this intimate little conference. Whether you grow herbs for home use, herbs for healing, or want to start a commercial herb operation, you will find many interesting sessions, hands-on workshops and plant walks to participate in!

This Wild Herb Weekend’s offerings this year include:
– Wild herb ID and application walks in wooded spaces,
– Hands-on creation activities inspired by botanicals,
– How to grow ginseng,
– Growing, harvesting, and post-harvesting handling of woodland botanicals,
Doug Elliott, speaker, storyteller, musician, with his son Todd,
– Bountiful educational talks ranging from history and culture to marketing medicinals
– and much more!!!
