9/21/2022 - Join the WNC Medicinal Herb Growers for a hands-on session on advanced medicinal herb handling.
In this advanced-level workshop, we will focus on commercial-scale harvesting, washing, and drying following Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for medicinal herbs. Highlights will include access to the new Produce Safety Handling Facility in Mills River, as well as access to medicinal herb plots. Participants can expect to participate in the herb handling, so field attire is recommended.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 9 am to noon at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center, 455 Research Drive, Mills River, NC 28759 (right next to the Asheville Airport). Cost is $12 per person.
