7/24/2024 - It's almost here! The 75th anniversary of the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center in Mills River, NC. Join us for this field day and celebration of the wonderful people and research programs that have helped to shape agriculture in western North Carolina. There will be displays to visit and tours (ride in comfort on tractor-pulled covered trams). First thing in the morning you can take the apple research tour followed by the tomato and vegetable tour. Then there will be a celebration lunch followed by a nursery crops and specialty crops tour in the afternoon. Plan to come for part or all of the day! Hope to see you there!
